Share the Glory
Hurricane Rita has brought about the best and worst of me. I lost my home to the storm and a lot of other things. I guess one thing is that it brought my family closer together. I try and keep my hopes up but sometimes I can’t help to feel like life itself is just falling apart. I know there are people out there that have it worse than me but still at times I just can’t think positive. I try and act like everything is perfect around my friends, but I think they’re starting to notice that things aren’t what I make them seem. I’ve never been to Steubenville but I think going could help me get away and reflect on everything that has happened these past few months. I’m hoping my parents let me go and I really hope we have the money. I pray to God every night that things get better but it never seems to work. Still I have faith and I know one day he’ll answer my prayers, hopefully sooner than later. About a week ago we got a camper from FEMA and I am so thankful for this. It feels so good to just be back on our property, but it still isn’t the same. It feels weird saying all this to a stranger but it is helping. I’ve been wanting to let all of this out but never knew how. Maybe I need to show my feelings to my friends and family more because keeping it all in is driving me crazy.
